These Terms of Service govern your use of the Catalogued mobile app, websites, and related services. By creating an account or using Catalogued, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
Your account
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information, use the service only if you can legally agree to these terms, and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Your content
You retain ownership of the reviews, comments, lists, profile media, and other content you create. You grant Catalogued a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service in accordance with your supported privacy settings. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for copies that remain temporarily in backups or are legally required to be retained.
Do not post content that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, invasive of another person's privacy, or designed to disrupt the service. Do not scrape Catalogued, bypass access controls, misuse the API, impersonate others, or use automated systems without written permission. We may remove content or restrict accounts when reasonably necessary to protect readers, rights holders, or the service.
Catalogued Pro and App Store purchases
Catalogued's core reading features are free. Catalogued Pro may be offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time lifetime unlock. The app shows the price and purchase period before you confirm. Apple charges your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends; you can manage or cancel it in your App Store subscription settings. A lifetime unlock does not renew.
Purchases, refunds, billing, and restoration are also subject to Apple's applicable App Store terms. Prices and available plans may change prospectively; changes do not remove access already provided by a completed lifetime purchase.
The service
Catalogued may change as we improve it, and features may be added, changed, suspended, or discontinued. We aim to keep the service reliable, but provide it on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Book metadata, ratings, recommendations, and reader-created content may be incomplete or inaccurate and should not be treated as professional advice.
Ending use
You may stop using Catalogued at any time and can request account deletion in Profile Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, or a serious risk to other people or the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, will survive.
Liability and changes
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Catalogued is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited in your jurisdiction.
We may update these terms as the service or law changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice in the app when a change materially affects your rights. Continuing to use Catalogued after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
